Artificial turf is only as good as what's under it. On clay soils a turf yard can turn into a shallow pond if the base isn't built right. We excavate the old lawn, add a compacted, free-draining aggregate base, and add drainage where the native soil won't take water.
Turf is popular with families and dog owners who are tired of mud season. We use pet-friendly products with good drainage and infill for dog areas.

Questions we get asked
Will artificial turf flood in the rain?
Not if the base is right. Turf drains through the backing; the base below needs to carry water away. On clay we add drainage.
Is turf good for dogs?
Yes, with the right product, infill and base. It's easy to rinse and there's no mud.
